*I \u2018ll win Oyo guber election \u2013 Akala<\/p>\n

IBADAN \u2013 FORMER Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lamidi Adesina, has again advised incumbent Governor of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, to get prepared to leave the Agodi Government House for the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.<\/p>\n

He said with the results of the National Assembly election, there was glaring hand writing on the wall that the game was up for the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.<\/p>\n

But, Governor Alao-Akala is insists that he would win the election convincingly.\u00a0 He spoke through his Special Adviser on Public Communication, Prince Dotun Oyelade, who said\u00a0 that the National Assembly election had shown that PDP would emerge victorious in the election.<\/p>\n

However, Adesina said he was not privy to talks with the governorship candidate of the Accord Party, Senator Rashidi Ladoja to step down for the ACN candidate, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.<\/p>\n

Describing the April 26 governorship election as an opportunity to avenge the way he was rigged out of the 2003 election, the ex-governor said, \u201cthis is a return match. Alao-Akala and Ladoja rigged me out in 2003. Now, my younger brother, Ajimobi will trounce them. It is payback time. We will not rig but Ajimobi will defeat them. Parties don\u2019t win governorship election that way. PDP is not known in Oyo and Ibadan. AP has just come to waste votes, they can\u2019t go anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the outcome of National Assembly election, he said his party would surely contest some results of some\u00a0 senatorial districts and federal constituencies.<\/p>\n

According to him, the \u201careas where the election would be contested are Oyo North Senatorial District, Irepo\/Orelope\/Olorunsogo, Oluyole and Atisbo\/Saki West\/Saki East, Federal Constituencies.\u201d
He disclosed that the party\u2019s counsel had been briefed to start preparing all the necessary papers to be filed at the tribunal.<\/p>\n

While commending the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, he urged them to be more proactive so that other elections could be better than the previous one.<\/p>\n

Alhaji Adesina said, \u201calthough there are still some bad eggs in the system, the INEC in the state is responsible and responsive. As soon as I got any complaint, I called the REC directly and he was always on hand to help\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
