{"id":355246,"date":"2011-04-01T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-04-01T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/04\/01\/forgery-judge-orders-parties-to-file-pleadings\/"},"modified":"2011-04-01T06:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-04-01T06:00:00","slug":"forgery-judge-orders-parties-to-file-pleadings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/04\/01\/forgery-judge-orders-parties-to-file-pleadings\/","title":{"rendered":"Forgery: Judge orders parties to file pleadings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div>\n<span id=\"fullgist\"\/><\/p>\n<p><span>A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered parties to file their pleadings within seven days in a suit by Senator Eme Ufot Ekaette.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ekaette is challenging the eligibility of a former Minister of Environment, Helen Esuene, to run as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Akwa-Ibom South Senatorial District, having been allegedly disqualified for presenting false certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At the resumed hearing of the case, Justice Abdul Kafarati said the matter was one that should not be heard on documentary evidence but with oral evidence.
