{"id":351064,"date":"2011-03-31T08:50:30","date_gmt":"2011-03-31T08:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/03\/31\/president-cuts-sod-for-work-on-tarkwa-bogoso-ayamfuri-road\/"},"modified":"2011-03-31T08:50:30","modified_gmt":"2011-03-31T08:50:30","slug":"president-cuts-sod-for-work-on-tarkwa-bogoso-ayamfuri-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/03\/31\/president-cuts-sod-for-work-on-tarkwa-bogoso-ayamfuri-road\/","title":{"rendered":"President Cuts Sod For Work On Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri Road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div>President John Evans Atta Mills on Wednesday performed a sod-cutting ceremony at Tarkwa for the reconstruction of the 94.4 kilometre Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri road in the Western Region.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a durbar of chiefs and people, heads of department and<br \/>other  organisations at the function, President Mills assured the<br \/>people of adequate development facilities to befit the area as<br \/>producing the greater part of the nation\u2019s resources.<\/p>\n<p>The President admonished the traditional authorities to impress<br \/>on their citizens to exhibit tolerance and discipline and morally<br \/>support the contractors to execute the project on schedule.<br \/>He said plans were advanced to tackle the railway project in the<br \/>region to ease vehicular traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The project would enhance regional, inter-regional integration<br \/>and promote socio-economic life in communities within the road<br \/>corridor.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Joe Gidisu, Minister of Roads and Highways said the contract<br \/>sum of the asphaltic road surfacing project was being funded by the<br \/>European Union at estimated cost of 63 million dollars and was<br \/>expected to be completed in 24 months.<\/p>\n<p>He said it has the Reynolds Construction Company Limited as the<br \/>contractors, with Gronmitj\/Carl Bro and Comptran Engineers and<br \/>planning Associates as the consultants with the Ghana Highway<br \/>Authority (GHA) as the implementing and supervising Agency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/201ed65bget.media_1960-150x90.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>View post: <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> President John Evans Atta Mills on Wednesday performed a sod-cutting ceremony at Tarkwa for the reconstruction of the 94.4 kilometre Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayamfuri road in the Western Region.
