Martin Laird came through a rollercoaster final round to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational by a shot from Steve Marino.\n<\/p>\n

Laird had started the day with a two shot lead but three bogeys to the turn saw him tied alongside Marino with nine holes to play.<\/p>\n

Marino birdied 10 to go a shot clear and when Laird double bogeyed the 11th after finding water his chance looked to have gone.<\/p>\n

But Marino, seeking his first Tour victory, faltered down the stretch and Laird cashed in.<\/p>\n

Birdies at 15 and 16 got Laird back to eight under and a brave up and down for par at 17 and a superb two-putt par at 18 was enough to see Laird home.<\/p>\n

Marino, who double bogeyed 17 after his approach plugged in the bunker, finished in second with Justin Rose, Marc Leishman and David Toms sharing tied third a further shot back.<\/p>\n
