{"id":336651,"date":"2011-03-24T22:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T22:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/03\/24\/minimum-wage-fed-govt-begins-employee-audit\/"},"modified":"2011-03-24T22:44:00","modified_gmt":"2011-03-24T22:44:00","slug":"minimum-wage-fed-govt-begins-employee-audit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/03\/24\/minimum-wage-fed-govt-begins-employee-audit\/","title":{"rendered":"Minimum Wage: Fed Govt begins employee audit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"75\">\n<p><span>Stung by the passage of the N18,000 minimum wage bill by the National Assembly and recent threat by the Nigeria Labour Congress for its immediate implementation, the Federal Government has decided to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of all public servants working in ministries, departments and agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Executive Chairman, National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission, (NSIWC), Dr Richard Egbule said this in Abuja yesterday. It was at the closing ceremony of a workshop on productivity measurement and improvement scheme in the public service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Other reasons for the new government initiative is to determine the relationship between a fair day\u2019s work and a fair day\u2019s pay.
