NEW YORK (AP)\u2014Dwight Howard<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> had 33 points and 11 rebounds, and the Orlando
\nMagic<\/a> won their fourth straight and sent the New York Knicks<\/a> tumbling below .500
\nwith a 111-99 victory Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Jameer Nelson<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> added 19 points, Hedo Turkoglu<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> had 16 points and 11 rebounds,
\nand Brandon Bass<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> chipped in 15 points for the Magic, who held Amare Stoudemire<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span>
\nto his worst game this season and beat the Knicks for the sixth straight time
\nand 13th in the last 15.<\/p>\n

Jason Richardson<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> scored nine of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, when
\nthe Magic broke away after leading by one after three.<\/p>\n

Carmelo Anthony<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> had 24 points for the Knicks (35-36), who lost for the
\nseventh time in eight games and are below .500 for the first time since they
\nwere 8-9 after losing to Atlanta on Nov. 27.<\/p>\n

Stoudemire was held to a season-low 13 points, shooting 6 of 20 from the
\nfloor. Chauncey Billups<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> and Toney Douglas<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> each scored 17 for the Knicks.<\/p>\n

Howard averaged 27 points and 17 rebounds in the first two meetings this
\nseason and was largely unstoppable again in this one. He made 11 of 15 shots and
\nkept New York from getting close down the stretch with some surprisingly strong
\nfoul shooting, finishing 11 for 13.<\/p>\n

The Magic grabbed the lead for good with a 9-0 run early in the fourth
\nquarter. Gilbert Arenas<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> made a pair of free throws, Richardson made a 3-pointer,
\nand Arenas followed with consecutive buckets to make it 90-82 with 7:55 left.<\/p>\n

The Knicks hardly made a dent from there, as they were consistently forced
\nto foul Howard and he kept coming through at the line.<\/p>\n

The Knicks once spoke of finishing fifth in the Eastern Conference, but they
\nmight be lucky they\u2019ve gone backward to seventh instead. Orlando seems locked
\ninto the No. 4 seed, and the Knicks have nobody to defend Howard and are
\nconsistently burned by the Magic\u2019s 3-point shooters when they double-team him.<\/p>\n

The Knicks started Ronny Turiaf<\/a>(notes)<\/a>,<\/span> who gives up an inch and 20 pounds, at
\ncenter. When Howard caught the ball with Turiaf behind him on an early
\npossession, a player on the Orlando bench yelled out \u201cToo little!\u201d<\/p>\n

That was only one of New York\u2019s problems in this one.<\/p>\n

The Magic got nine points apiece from Nelson and Bass in the first quarter
\nen route to a 28-25 lead. Orlando led by as much as 10 in the period and was
\nahead most of the second before Billups led a late surge that moved the Knicks
\ninto the lead. They were up 59-55 after Nelson\u2019s 3-pointer at the halftime
\nbuzzer.<\/p>\n

Orlando turned up the defense in the third, holding the Knicks to 7 of 23
\nshooting and taking a 79-78 lead to the final period after Nelson\u2019s jumper with
\n15 seconds remaining.<\/p>\n

Notes: The teams meet again here Monday as the makeup for a game that was
\npostponed Nov. 2, after debris fell into the arena during an overnight cleaning
\nof asbestos-related materials. \u2026 Former New York Yankees<\/a> star Bernie Williams,
\nnow an accomplished musician, played the national anthem on his guitar. Told
\nbefore the game that Williams would be performing, Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy,
\na baseball fan, said he\u2019d prefer to watch Williams play baseball. \u2026 The Knicks
