{"id":333681,"date":"2011-03-23T23:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-23T23:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/03\/23\/olurin-suspends-campaign-over-okada-riders%e2%80%99-death\/"},"modified":"2011-03-23T23:44:00","modified_gmt":"2011-03-23T23:44:00","slug":"olurin-suspends-campaign-over-okada-riders-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/03\/23\/olurin-suspends-campaign-over-okada-riders-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Olurin suspends campaign over Okada riders\u2019 death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"61\">\n<p><span>The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Chief Adetunji Idowu Olurin, yesterday suspended his campaign in Ikenne over the death of three motorcyclists, popular as <em>Okada<\/em> riders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The <em>Okada<\/em> riders were said to have died when a car in the convoy of the governorship candidate of another party rammed into them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The incident, which happened few hours before Olurin arrived the town, elicited tension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Olurin called off the rally in memory of the deceased, it was learnt. He also condoled with the local chapter of the Almagamated Commercial Motorcyclists and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I do not wish to hold a rally where people are mourning.
