Minna \u2013 Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu\u2019azu Babangida Aliyu, has given reasons\u00a0 why President Goodluck Jonathan should be the next president, saying \u201cPresident Goodluck Jonathan is God-sent\u201d and should therefore be given the chance to accomplish the task.<\/p>\n

The governor, who was addressing the people of Pandogari town in Rafi Local Government Area of the state, as part of his gubernatorial campaigns, described the rising profile of President Jonathan as a grand design by God which nobody should query.<\/p>\n

He recounted to the\u00a0 crowd how Dr. Jonathan became president, pointing out that it was a mandate of late President Umaru Musa Yar\u2019Adua which he could not complete as a result of death, thereby transferring the leadership to Jonathan who was his vice then.<\/p>\n

Governor Aliyu asked the people some\u00a0 questions relating to the death of President Yar\u2019Adua, Hausa.
He asked: \u201cIs it President Jonathan that killed Yar\u2019Adua?\u201d The people chorused \u201cNo\u201d. \u201cIf the president or governor dies or is removed, who becomes the next president or governor?\u201d The people also chorused, \u201cthe Vice President and the Deputy Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor implored the people\u00a0 Dr. Jonathan tosee as the \u201canointed president\u201d for the country and vote for him next month.<\/p>\n

He told the crowd that \u201cthe era of politics based on religion or ethnicity were gone and that they should be interested in whoever is capable to run the affairs of the country and take the people to the promised land.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aliyu promised the people of the state of more dividends of democracy if re-elected, adding that the new master plan for the transformation of Pandogari and Allawa towns would be implemented for the socio-economic development of the state.<\/p>\n
