Liverpool chief John W Henry insists that talks with Kenny Dalglish will be held in private and in the right way.\n<\/p>\n

Principal owner Henry is quickly adapting to what he describes as the ‘Liverpool way’ and he insists that talks about the manager’s job will be done behind closed doors.<\/p>\n

Henry watched Dalglish’s side claim a 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, a victory which takes them to within four points of fifth place Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Last week Henry admitted talks were yet to begin in earnest over Dalglish’s immediate future, as his current tenure is only due to last until the summer.<\/p>\n

And he continues to maintain that any talks over Dalglish’s future will not be played out in public.<\/p>\n

Private<\/h4>\n

“What’s going on in that regard is private,” Henry is quoted by the Daily Telegraph.<\/i><\/p>\n

“It’s something called the Liverpool way and you do these things behind closed doors. <\/p>\n

“I’m not going to talk about these things, but he’s done very well.<\/p>\n

“It’s all very positive, someone was saying that people weren’t happy here. But I think since that person left, people are happier.<\/p>\n

“We are working on the future. We will have to have a lot of days like today to do that (finish fifth). This was a big three points, because this is a tough place.<\/p>\n

“Tottenham are fifth and look very good, so we will have to play extraordinarily well. We will have to win when they come to Anfield to have a shot at that.”<\/p>\n

Dalglish was also quick to rubbish reports claiming he had asked for a four-year deal.<\/p>\n

“As regards the job, I’ve seen in the papers I’ve asked for a four-year contract, but I don’t know who I’m supposed to have asked. I also saw that I was offered two but I don’t know who sent that in,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Somebody asked if I’d spoken to the owners. Of course I have, I speak to them every week. They’re fantastic and supportive but there’s been no detailed discussions about next year.<\/p>\n

“Until there’s something to be said we can’t make it up for you, until then, there’s nothing.<\/p>\n

“For me that’s not a problem. The club has always been the most important thing. I don’t have a problem with that. There’s no pressure on anyone.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
