MILWAUKEE (AP)\u2014Both the New York Knicks<\/a> and the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> are
\nfeeling pressure. Only the Bucks appear to be thriving on it with time dwindling
\nin their injury-filled season.<\/p>\n

Carlos Delfino<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> scored a career-high 30 points and Brandon Jennings<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> finished
\nan assist short of a triple-double to lead the Bucks to a 100-95 victory over
\nthe struggling Knicks on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee (28-41) is tied with Charlotte for ninth place in the Eastern
\nConference, 1 1\/2 games behind Indiana for the final spot in the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re making shots, we\u2019re playing better defense,\u201d said Delfino, who
\nmissed 2 1\/2 months with a concussion this season. \u201cIt\u2019s just the pressure we have
\nthat we need to win, it\u2019s the time of the year to make the last run. We don\u2019t
\nhave too much margin (for error). We\u2019re trying really hard to get in the
\nplayoffs.\u201d<\/p>\n

New York (35-34) is stumbling toward mediocrity after losing five of the
\nlast six. The Knicks are 7-8 since trading for Carmelo Anthony<\/a>(notes)<\/a>,<\/span> who had 23
\npoints on 7-of-14 shooting. They seem destined for the sixth or seventh spot in
\nthe Eastern Conference playoffs, meaning they\u2019ll have to face either Boston,
\nChicago or Miami in the first round.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re frustrated, and that\u2019s good,\u201d Knicks coach Mike D\u2019Antoni said.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re trying to get this done. We\u2019ll get it done. It\u2019s just a matter of
\nstaying calm and knowing our problems and working through them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennings had 14 points and 11 rebounds to go with nine assists, and
\nMilwaukee built a 23-point, first-quarter lead only to watch it evaporate in a
\nhalf-court struggle.<\/p>\n

The Knicks never tied the game or took a lead, but had multiple chances in
\nthe fourth quarter. With the Bucks leading 86-84, Delfino, who also had 11
\nrebounds, hit two free throws and made a 3-pointer to put Milwaukee up 91-84
\nwith 1:43 left.<\/p>\n

Landry Fields<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> answered with a 3 to cut it to 91-87. Delfino and Anthony
\ntraded two free throws before Jennings hit a fadeaway with 26 seconds to play
\nthat put Milwaukee ahead 95-89.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do love my step back move,\u201d Jennings said.<\/p>\n

New York never got a chance to tie it in the final seconds despite
\ndesperation 3s by Anthony and Fields that twice cut the lead to three points.<\/p>\n

Andrew Bogut<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> had 13 points and 12 rebounds, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> scored
\n19 points, going 13 for 13 from the line for a new career best, and John Salmons<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span>
\nchipped in 22 points.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what we\u2019ve been trying to do since Day 1,\u201d Salmons said. \u201cThe
\nKnicks, they\u2019re in the playoffs, they\u2019ve got a spot. For us, we\u2019re not in yet,
\nwe\u2019re still fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Milwaukee, which has been the lowest-scoring, worst-shooting team all
\nseason, seems to be coming out of its funk down the stretch. The Bucks could get
\nback Drew Gooden<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> (left foot), Ersan Ilyasova<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> (concussion) and Michael Redd<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> (left
\nknee) in the next week to provide instant depth on its thin bench, which scored
\ntwo points against the Knicks.<\/p>\n

A game after Delfino made a career-high eight 3-pointers in a 110-95 win
\nover the Nets, he was back at it again. Delfino has hit 14 of his last 22
\n3-point attempts and snapped Milwaukee\u2019s 0-for-7 start to the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he can shoot the ball the way he is, we\u2019ll be a dangerous team going
\ninto the postseason,\u201d Bogut said.<\/p>\n

New York\u2019s stars all finished with at least 20 points, but none could get
\nthe Knicks over the top.<\/p>\n

Amare Stoudemire<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Chauncey
\nBillups<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> scored 21 points before fouling out with 2:46 left. Anthony, who had his
\nworst game of the season with a 2-for-12 effort in a loss to Detroit on Friday
\nnight, never seemed to get into a rhythm until the end.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no time for anybody on the team to panic,\u201d Anthony said. \u201cWe\u2019re
\nlosing some games that we\u2019re supposed to win, but I feel that it\u2019s a learning
\nprocess for us. I\u2019m not really concerned about where we are as a team or us
\nlosing games or winning games, as long as we get better at the things we need to
\nget better at, then I\u2019m cool with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Knicks got off to a dismal start in this one, missing 11 of their first
\n12 shots to fall behind by double digits in the first six minutes. New York
\ntrailed 32-9 after the first, the lowest-scoring first quarter for the Knicks in
\n55 years, according to STATS, LLC, and the worst offensive output in any quarter
\nin nearly four years.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur offense wasn\u2019t that great, but I don\u2019t worry too much about the
\noffense, honestly, just the defense,\u201d Billups said. \u201cOutside of that first
\nquarter, I thought our defense was pretty good.\u201d<\/p>\n

NOTES: The last time the Knicks scored nine points or fewer in any quarter
\nwas Nov. 14, 2007, against the Clippers. The last time they scored nine points
\nor fewer in the first quarter was Nov. 21, 1956, against Fort Wayne, according
\nto STATS, LLC, when they had a franchise-low five. \u2026 Anthony spoke to
\nreporters for about five minutes before the game, calling his performance in
\nDetroit a \u201crare day that I allowed myself to get frustrated. It happens.\u201d He
\nleft that night without taking questions.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n
