Forbes magazine has yesterday,\u00a0released the 2011 World\u2019s Richest\u00a0People list with Nigeria\u2019s own Industrialist, Aliko Dangote\u00a0rated as the 51st Richest man in the world,\u00a0with\u00a0 a networth of $13.8 bn and richer than\u00a0Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg\u00a0 who made the\u00a0list for the first time with a networth\u00a0of $51.3 bn at the 52nd position.<\/p>\n

Despite the recent political crisis\u00a0 in Egypt, the\u00a0Arab country led other African countries with 8 billionaires on the list\u00a0, followed by\u00a0 South Africa\u00a0\u00a0with 4\u00a0bililionaires,\u00a0 while\u00a0Nigeria\u00a0 came\u00a03rd with 2 billionaires. Chief Mike Adenuga\u00a0 joined Dangote on the Forbes list rated 597 in the world with a networth of $2bn. However,\u00a0\u00a0Dangote, according to Forbes\u00a0is the richest African .<\/p>\n

Globally, Mexico\u2019s Carlos Slim Hel\u00fa is holding on to the title of world\u2019s richest man \u2013 for the 2nd year running, worth\u00a0 $74bn\u00a0 while\u00a0 Bill Gates is 2nd and worth\u00a0$58bn.<\/p>\n

Facebook,\u00a0 the social networking giant, with over 500million members, produced 6 billionaires that included Co-founders, Dustin Moskovitz and Eduardo Saverin, and Facebook\u2019s first president, Sean Parker.<\/p>\n

The Forbes 2011 Billionaires List marked \u00a025year of publishing\u00a0the World Rich list breaking two records: the highest number of billionaires (1,210) and\u00a0 a\u00a0 record combined wealth\u00a0 of $4.5 trillion(the highest ever.)<\/p>\n

Also, China and Russia\u00a0 joined the United states\u00a0as countries with billionaires above 100. Chine now has 115 and Russia 101.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Compiling the List<\/p>\n

According to Forbes, more than 50 reporters in 13 countries were involved in compiling the 25th annual World\u2019s Billionaires rankings with reporters meeting candidates, their handlers and interviewing employees, rivals, attorneys and securities analysts.<\/p>\n

Forbes also estimated billionaires\u2019 net worths\u00a0 by valuing individuals\u2019 assets, including stakes in public and private companies, real estate, yachts, art and cash-and account for debt.<\/p>\n

Forbes said that it estimates of public fortunes are a snapshot of wealth on Feb. 14, 2011, when\u00a0it\u00a0locked in stock prices and exchange rates around the globe.<\/p>\n
