Wigan have refused to comment on speculation that centre Martin Gleeson has been sacked by the club for disciplinary reasons.<\/b><\/p>\n

Coach Michael Maguire and owner Ian Lenagan both had nothing to say on the matter after Wigan’s 32-16 win over Salford on Friday. <\/p>\n

Gleeson, 30, signed for the Warriors from Warrington in April 2009. <\/p>\n

Since then he has made 54 appearances, scoring 22 tries, including two in last year’s Grand Final win over St Helens. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Gleeson, who has also played 20 times for Great Britain, has had a colourful career in the sport. <\/p>\n

In 2004, while with St Helens, he was given a four-month ban for his parts in a rugby league betting scandal which also involved then team-mate Sean Long. <\/p>\n

He was dropped by Wigan for a game against Huddersfield last season for disciplinary reasons. <\/p>\n

He played in last weekend’s World Club Challenge defeat to St George Illawarra Dragons at the DW Stadium but was hampered by a hamstring injury which had kept him out the squad for Friday’s game at Salford.\n<\/p>\n
