{"id":295148,"date":"2011-03-09T12:19:02","date_gmt":"2011-03-09T12:19:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/03\/09\/kaka-out-for-15-days-with-knee-injury\/"},"modified":"2011-03-09T12:19:02","modified_gmt":"2011-03-09T12:19:02","slug":"kaka-out-for-15-days-with-knee-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/03\/09\/kaka-out-for-15-days-with-knee-injury\/","title":{"rendered":"Kaka Out For 15 Days With Knee Injury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div> Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has been ruled out of all footballing action for 15 days after suffering yet another knee injury.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old had only recently returned from an eight-month lay-off but suffered another injury to the left knee while playing for Madrid against Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish Primera Division at the end of last month.<\/p>\n<p>Kaka went scans thereafter and it has now been revealed that \u201ca slight edema on the exterior of his left knee was detected and diagnosetd as Iliotibial band syndrome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following Real Madrid&#8217;s 26 February match against Deportivo Coruna, Kaka felt pain on the exterior of his left knee and subsequently an X-ray diagnosis was performed to evaluate the extent of the injury,&#8221; read a statement on Madrid\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following a complete evaluation including an MRI, which was compared to previous studies on the player, a slight edema on the exterior of his left knee was detected and diagnosed as Iliotibial band syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Treatment includes fitness work in the gymnasium and on the pitch, as well as complementary physiotherapy.
