Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, will today begin his second term bid to rule Lagos State for the next four years.<\/span><\/p>\n

His campaign will kick off at the popular Tafa Balewa Square, Onikan Lagos. The campaign rally has been dubbed the mother of all rallies because of the strategic importance of the state to the party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).<\/span><\/p>\n

Lagos has remained in the hand of the party for the past 12 years and the party has warded off all attempts by the opposition party, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to hijack the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Top shots, governors and elders of party are expected to grace the rally. Canvassing for support from the Lagos electorate, the party said Fashola\u2019s second coming is aimed at consolidating on the achievements of the past four years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expected at the rally are the National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande; former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; ACN presidential candidate, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Governors, Rauf Aregbesola (Osun); Dr. Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti); Adams Oshiomhole (Edo).<\/span><\/p>\n

In a release signed by the former Commissioner of Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, the party urged members, supporters and other well-wishers to come out en masse to cheer their candidates, including Governor Babatunde Fashola, to victory.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
