<\/p>\nVice-President Namadi Sambo said on Thursday that the Peoples Democratic Party would win the April 2011 general elections in the North-West in spite of claims to the contrary by the opposition.<\/span><\/p>\nSambo stated this in Zamfara at the commencement of Governor Umaru Shinkafi\u2019s electioneering campaign.<\/span><\/p>\nHe said the PDP remained the only credible party that had the interest of Nigerians at the top of its agenda.<\/span><\/p>\nThe vice president, represented by his Special Adviser on Legal Matters, Alhaji Bashir Safiyanu, noted that states under the PDP had sufficient achievements to display as credentials for re-election.<\/span><\/p>\nHe warned the electorate not to be deceived by mouth- watering promises that could not be fulfilled by the opposition.<\/span><\/p>\nAccording to him, they should rather come out en masse to vote for the ruling party in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.<\/span><\/p>\nSambo stated that the PDP was the only party that could take Nigeria to the promised land.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cI urge you to vote for the PDP in all elections so that our dream for a better Nigeria can come to fruition in the very near future,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\nIn his address, the state Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha, said in the last three and half years, Shinkafi had charted a clear course for socio-economic development of Zamfara.<\/span><\/p>\nMallaha said that Shinkafi\u2019s achievements were evident in the educational, agricultural and mineral sectors, among others.<\/span><\/p>\nThousands of PDP supporters including Shinkafi\u2019s three wives, party chieftains, political appointees and clerics converged on Bakura, Zamfara to witness the occasion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\nFollow this link:
