Nigeria\u2019s electric power sector is set for a boost of about $20 billion in the next two years, through investments from private sector players in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chief Executive Officer, Kaleidoscope International Business Forum, Mrs. Linda Olisa Middleton, disclosed this in Abuja. This is coming on the heels of a two-day event scheduled for March 17-18 in Washington DC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investment in the privatised electricity generation sector is one of the windows open to US investors among a basket of opportunities for companies from Nigeria and USA to collaborate in Trade, Joint Venture and Investment at the forum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nigeria\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odein Ajumogobia (SAN), is expected to declare the forum open, to underscore the government\u2019s commitment to promotion of foreign direct investment in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Howard Jeter, is the chairman of the forum. Among companies and organisations that have indicated interest in the forum are General Electric, Greengate, OPEC, World Bank, Onne Oil & Gas. Many state governmentshave also indicated interest.<\/span><\/p>\n

BGR, a major investment Group in the United States, is partnering with African Theatrical Project Ltd as well as Attels & Partners Ltd, to promote and organise the forum.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the promoter of the African Theatrical Project (ATP), Mrs. Linda Olisa Middleton, the firm is committed to promoting Nigeria\u2019s image in the international community while Kaleidoscope International Business Forum, is a window to invest in Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
