To ensure credible elections next month, the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) have set aside N5.4 billion to assist the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC).<\/span><\/p>\n

US Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs Ms Maria Otero made this known yesterday in Minna, the Niger State capital. \u00a0She spoke \u00a0when she visited Governor Mu\u00e1zu Babangida Aliyu.<\/span><\/p>\n

The envoy said both \u00a0countries placed high priority in the forthcoming elections, which, she said, was germane to Nigeria\u2019s stability.<\/span><\/p>\n

Otero said the money was meant to assist INEC in mobility and logistics.<\/span><\/p>\n
