Even though last Friday’s rains almost marred the launch of this year’s edition of the Ghana Music Awards, for the artistes, it was business as usual as they defied the rain to perform much to the admiration of guests present.<\/p>\n
The rains started after the impressive formal launch of Ghana Music Awards 2011 which was held at the pool side of the Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra, with guests scrambling to seek shelter but the artistes ensured that the show went on giving some wonderful performances while soaking wet.<\/p>\n
Last year’s Music for Development award winner, Asem had finished performing his Fila<\/strong> track with another act announced when the heavens opened. At that point some of the guests thought the show was over but to their surprise, sensational gospel group, No Tribe fronted by Nana Osei popularly known as Nacy mounted the stage and started firing from all cylinders singing their popular songs including their praise medley, Animonyam Nka Nyankopon<\/strong>, Awurade Bohye <\/strong>and It is raining<\/strong>, a well known church song.<\/p>\n Always the showmen, No Tribe proved why they are one of the best live gospel groups in the country.
