Ijebu-Ode (Ogun) \u2013 ACN gubernatorial candidate in Ogun, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, has promised to implement a free education and health care programmes\u00a0 if elected.<\/p>\n

He made the pledge on Monday at the party\u2019s\u00a0 campaign rally held in Ijebu-Ode.<\/p>\n

According to him, his party\u2019s manifesto provides for free education for all students in\u00a0 primary and secondary schools in the state and free medical care for all pregnant women.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the grace of God, when ACN is sworn-in , the party would provide free education for all primary and secondary students and there would also be free medical care for\u00a0 pregnant women and children,\u2019\u2019\u00a0 he said.<\/p>\n

Amosun further pledged that children between one and five years,\u00a0 would enjoy free medical care if the party won the election.<\/p>\n

The candidate, who expressed optimism that he would win the election, stated that his government would create employment opportunities for the people.<\/p>\n

He said that ACN was prepared to do better than the current ruling party has done in\u00a0 the state.<\/p>\n

Amosun also promised that the party would restructure the agricultural sector in the state by setting aside N1 billion\u00a0 for distribution\u00a0 to farmers in the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have passion for agriculture and with this passion in us as a party,\u00a0 we shall revive all our farm settlements, including the rubber plantation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the ways in which we want to achieve this\u00a0 is by setting aside N1 billion for the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe this will assist farmers to increase food production as well as create job opportunities for the youths,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He urged party members not to sell their votes, saying that they represented their power to freedom. (NAN)<\/p>\n
