Lagos lawmaker, Mr Sikiru Adebanjo representing Epe constituency II, yesterday, attributed his defection to Labour Party\u00a0 to the denial of his mandate by Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, at the primaries.<\/p>\n

He disclosed this in an interview, yesterday,\u00a0 in Lagos.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cI decided to join the Labour Party when ACN prevented me from the opportunity to exercise my right. People voted for me at the primaries but I later discovered that they had given the ticket to another person and I will not allow them to control my destiny.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could not explain why the party behaved that way\u00a0 but my people voted for me immensely and I controlled a\u00a0 large number of\u00a0 delegates during the primaries, so why would\u00a0 continue to waste my time?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
