\u2018The King\u2019s Speech\u2019, an inspirational\u00a0story about a speech impaired king\u00a0, who later finds his voice to lead his people and nation became the toast at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards held Sunday night.<\/p>\n

And despite the soaring popularity of facebook, with over 500million users globally, the movie depicting\u00a0the formation of \u00a0Facebook, titled\u00a0 \u2018The Social Networks\u2019 was second best movie of the night.<\/p>\n

In all, \u2018The King\u2019s Speech\u2019 won four of the evening\u2019s top prizes including Best Director for Tom Hooper and Best Actor for Colin Firth<\/p>\n

It also won the best original screenplay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Social Network\u201d won three awards, but its highest honor was a Best Adapted Screenplay statue for Aaron Sorkin.<\/p>\n

The crowning of the night was when The King\u2019s Speech was named the best Picture\u00a0over Social Networks.<\/p>\n

Toy Story 3\u2033 beat out competition from \u201cHow to Train Your Dragon\u201d and \u201cThe Illusionist\u201d to pick up Best Animated Feature.<\/p>\n

Best Actor: Colin Firth, \u201cThe King\u2019s Speech\u201d<\/p>\n

Best Actress: Natalie Portman, \u201cBlack Swan\u201d<\/p>\n

Best Director: Tom Hooper, \u201cThe King\u2019s Speech\u201d<\/p>\n

Achievement in Music Written for Motion Picture (Original Song): \u201cWe Belong Together\u201d from \u201cToy Story 3,\u201d Randy Newman<\/p>\n

Achievement in Film Editing: \u201cThe Social Network,\u201d Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter<\/p>\n

Achievement in Visual Effects: \u201cInception,\u201d Paul Franklin, Chris Corbould, Andrew Lockley and Peter Bebb<\/p>\n

Best Live Action Short: \u201cGod of Love,\u201d Luke Matheny<\/p>\n

Best Documentary Short: \u201cStrangers No More\u201d<\/p>\n

Achievement in Costume Design: \u201cAlice in Wonderland,\u201d Colleen Atwood<\/p>\n

Achievement in Sound Editing: \u201cInception,\u201d Richard King<\/p>\n
