\"\"<\/a>President John Evans Atta Mills on Friday urged the international community to take advantage of the sound economic climate in Ghana to step up investment.<\/p>\n

He was speaking at the Osu Castle when he played host to a delegation from the International Federal Express (FEDEX).<\/p>\n

He said FEDEX had a solid reputation in courier service and reiterated Government\u2019s willingness to engage in partnerships that would be mutually beneficial.<\/p>\n

The delegation was led by Mr Michael Ducker, President of FEDEX, and accompanied by Ghana\u2019s Communications Minister, Mr Haruna Iddrisu.<\/p>\n

President Mills said there were a number of possibilities in the courier service in Ghana and added that with the level of service of FEDEX, Ghanaians would be able to derive benefit from the corporate entity.<\/p>\n

Mr Ducker said his company was in Ghana for its \u201clove for the country\u201d, for commercial business and to expand its business in West Africa.<\/p>\n

He said FEDEX had 250,000 employees worldwide.<\/p>\n

Mr Iddrisu said Ghana was ready to be used by the courier companies as a hub to enter into West Africa.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are ready and willing to open up for operations in the courier service,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
