She spent years as the UK’s matchmaker on Blind Date – but Cilla Black has revealed she’s been observing couplings of quite a different nature of late.

The glamourous 67-year-old presenter has revealed that she spent some time with swingers for her guest appearance on tonight’s episode of ITV1 hit comedy Benidorm.

Talking to today’s Sun newspaper, she said: ‘I end up living in the Garveys’ house in the hills. I have a wild side in the episode.

‘I spend time hanging around with the swingers. It’s a cameo – not how I am in real life, believe me.’

The star makes her appearance on the show tonight, the first in the new series of the show.

Meanwhile, the TV legend has revealed that she is waiting for the call from Coronation Street to make a cameo in the show.

The star has previously said she would love to appear in the soap, but bosses still haven’t taken her up on the offer.

Cilla told The Sun: ‘I grew up with it and it’s as good today as it ever was. ITV have said they’d like me to do it, but it never happens.”

She went on: ‘I wouldn’t want to be in it for very long, but perhaps I could just be myself, like when Status Quo were in a couple of episodes. I’d love that.’

Status Quo rockers Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt appeared in three episodes of Corrie in 2005.

They were spotted drinking in the Rovers before a gig, and fan Les Battersby asked them to play at this wedding to Cilla.

Meanhwile, Cilla says she’s not worried about being on her own, following the death of her beloved husband Bobby in 1999 aged 57 – because she’s always got the company of her bachelor boys, Dale Winton, Sir Cliff Richard and Paul O’Grady.

The redheaded star said: ‘I’m happy to go to dinner with gentlemen but that’s about it. It’s nice to have a glass of champagne and be treated like a lady.’

She added: ‘I’m not bothered about meeting a man. I was married for so long and have lived by myself for so long since then.

‘I’m too independent now to settle down. I’d rather just not bother.

‘Besides, I’ve got my friends Cliff, Paul and Dale, and have my girlfriends. I have a very nice life.’
