Renowned pollster and Managing Editor of the
Daily Dispatch<\/b> newspaper, Ben Ephson Jnr., has advised presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Election 2012, Nana Akufo-Addo to center his campaign message on winning over \u201cfloating voters<\/b>\u201d and not on the party\u2019s die-hard supporters, cautioning that failure to do so will result in the NPP Flagbearer kissing \u201cgoodbye to the presidency and politics because he will be seventy two in 2012<\/b>\u201d.<\/p>\nSpeaking in an interview on Gold Paper Review<\/b> on Radio Gold<\/b>, Mr. Ephson also warned that Nana Addo will be \u201ccommitting a strategic mistake\u201d should his \u201cdesperation to become president in 2012\u201d compel him to use the \u201call-die-be-die<\/b>\u201d comment as one of the central themes in his campaign.<\/p>\n
Analyzing Nana Addo\u2019s infamous comment, the election watcher said it will be unwise for leading figures in the NPP to openly voice out support for Nana Addo\u2019s \u201call-die-be-die<\/b>\u201dcomment. Mr Ephson disclosed that in private conversations with some die-hard NPP MP\u2019s, they acknowledge that the infamous comment was in bad taste; likewise the \u201cmany ways of killing a cat\u201d remark by Dr. Kwabena Adjei, National Chairman of the NDC.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know many leading NDC members who were against it, but would not come out openly and criticize him,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the statement by Former President Rawlings that if the current administration carries on with things as they are now, the NDC will be an opposition party in 2012, the Daily Dispatch Managing Editor stated that he sides with the AfricaWatch Magazine<\/b>, that President Mills is not likely to be a one term president quite contrary to the fears of the ex-President.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
