Berekum Arsenals have officially distanced itself from attacks on a Medeama SC official on Tuesday night in Berekum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Cudjoe, a Director of Operations, was attacked and stabbed several times on the shoulder and at his back.<\/p>\n

He sustained several degrees of injuries and wounds on his body<\/p>\n

But Arsenals president Alhaji Yakubu Moro has stated that his club had no hand in the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one should involve Berekum Arsenals in this attack because we are feverishly preparing to play with them (Medeama) on the pitch and not on the war front,\u201d Yakubu said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe issue is he (Cudjoe) had gone to Kato which is at the outskirts of Berekum to perform rituals there.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was seen deep in the night around a certain river in the Kato Township with a bottle of Schnapps and several other items and nobody knows why he should do that ahead of a football clash,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately most of the people in that community happen to be fanatics of Berekum Arsenals so they chased him out after realizing he was a Medeama official and prevented him from soiling their river so that was what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outspoken CEO also assured that his club would provide maximum security as requested by Medeama SC.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are ready to provide the adequate security that they requested so that the match will come off as expected without any incident.\u201d<\/p>\n

Berekum Arsenals were handed a three-home match ban after their fans beat up a match official last season against Liberty Professionals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
