Charlie Sheen is set to reprise the role of ‘Wild Thing’ Rick Vaughn in a third movie in the ‘Major League’ series. <\/b><\/p>\n

Charlie Sheen is set to star in a third ‘Major League’ movie. <\/p>\n

The troubled actor – who is currently receiving treatment at home for a drug addiction problem which led to a hiatus of his TV show ‘Two and a Half Men’ – has been asked to bring back ‘Wild Thing’ Rick Vaughn for a third movie in the sport comedy series. <\/p>\n

Director David S. Ward has confirmed a story is in place for the comedy movie, which would be a follow-up to 1994’s ‘Major League II’. <\/p>\n

He said: “It’s 20 years later and Charlie’s character has been out of baseball since he gave up the walk-off homerun in the seventh game of the World Series. <\/p>\n

“But the team wants him back to mentor this young fireballing relief pitcher.” <\/p>\n

David confirms the 45-year-old star is “interested” in the role and production could get underway soon.<\/p>\n

He added to The Hollywood Reporter: “Charlie is interested in doing it, we’re taking the first steps on it. <\/p>\n

“Now it’s just a matter of putting the movie together in the timeframe we have. Charlie was a window coming up.” <\/p>\n

Charlie recently confessed he saw the 1998 movie ‘Major League: Back to the Minors’ as an “abortion” and did not consider it as part of the series. <\/p>\n
