Sarah visits South Africa for Comic Relief – and does what she can<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"Sarah<\/p>\n

Sarah Harding recently travelled to Cape Town for Comic Relief<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

To raise awareness of this year’s Red Nose Day<\/strong><\/a> on 18 March, Now<\/strong> travelled to Cape Town<\/strong> with Sarah Harding<\/strong><\/a> to see where some of the vital funds raised by Comic Relief <\/strong>are being spent. <\/p>\n

It was Sarah<\/strong>‘s first time in South Africa and she was delighted to be invited on the trip, visiting mothers and mums-to-be living with HIV and a community project to help vulnerable children. <\/p>\n

‘I just think it’s an amazing opportunity to get out here and witness the hardship first hand,’ the Girls Aloud star explained during her visit. <\/p>\n

‘When I was younger I was taught about the poverty here but to \u2028be truly passionate about it, \u2028it was something I had to see \u2028with my own eyes and talk to \u2028the people here about.’ <\/p>\n

Bandmates Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh did the Comic Relief<\/strong><\/a> climb two years ago, which inspired Sarah<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

‘I’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time,’ she revealed.<\/p>\n

‘I was asked to \u2028do the Kilimanjaro<\/strong> climb but \u2028I couldn’t because I’ve got a \u2028dodgy back.’ <\/p>\n
