It should have been a night to remember so why did they look so miserable?<\/p>\n

Gary Barlow and Take That won a Brit this year – but you’d never have known<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Having
\n
the fastest-selling record of the decade and finally winning a Brit<\/strong><\/a> for Best
\n
British Group would be enough to put a smile on most people’s faces, but
\n
clearly Take That<\/strong><\/a> are hard to please.\n<\/p>\n

Despite rave reviews for their opening performance at the Brit Awards
\n
<\/strong>last week, when it came to collecting their gong the quintet barely managed a
\n
grin. \u2028<\/p>\n

In fact, Gary Barlow<\/strong><\/a>, Howard Donald<\/strong>, Jason Orange<\/strong><\/a>, Mark Owen<\/strong><\/a> and Robbie
\n
Williams<\/strong><\/a> looked more like five old men going to work than a group of mates
\n
who’d just won an award.<\/p>\n

The band shared awkward hugs and, despite adoring kisses from wife Ayda
\n
Field<\/strong><\/a>, Robbie <\/strong>didn’t look like part of the gang as he climbed on stage via a
\n
different route to his bandmates. <\/p>\n

With \u2028no one wanting to take the mic, Robbie<\/strong>
\n
bizarrely shouted \u2018shabba’ before peacemaker Mark Owen<\/strong> took up the task,
\n
thanking Robbie<\/strong> for reuniting with the band. <\/p>\n

At the after party at London’s<\/strong> swanky Savoy Hotel<\/strong>, the mostly teetotal
\n
group half-heartedly joined in the fun. \u2018It was supposed to be a celebration,’
\n
says our insider. <\/p>\n

\u2018But they all looked a bit stony faced.’ <\/p>\n

When Now asked
\n
Robbie<\/strong> how he felt about the win, he said: \u2018I can’t wait to get back to the flat, hug the wife and have a cup of
\n
tea and biscuits.’ <\/p>\n

Rock and roll!<\/p>\n

But the boys have been through a lot, whether it be alcohol, drugs or
\n
even secret mistresses, and their upcoming tour in May is no doubt at the
\n
forefront of their minds. <\/p>\n

\u2018They just want the best for the fans,’ adds the
\n
source. <\/p>\n

\u2018They’re determined to make their tour one people won’t forget. If the
\n
Brit<\/strong> performance was anything to go by, we’re
\n
in for a real treat.’ <\/p>\n
