The Ghana Football Association says they are expecting Michael Essien to end his international hiatus next month.<\/p>\n
The Chelsea ace in August last year temporarily withdrew his services for the Black Stars after suffering a number of fitness problems including a knee injury.<\/p>\n
But the midfielder has since recovered and featured for his side in the English Premier League.<\/p>\n
Essien last played in a Ghana shirt at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations against Ivory Coast where he picked up a knee problem.<\/p>\n
The Ghana FA hopes the 28-year-old will stage a return for the 26 March qualifier and the friendly against England three day later at Wembley.<\/p>\n
\u201cMichael Essien sought permission to stay away for a while and we are very hopeful that he will be back next month month when we play Congo Brazaville,\u201d president Kwesi Nyantakyi told Joy FM.<\/p>\n
