Former Chairman of the Confiscated Assets Committee Carl Wilson has said he supports the President\u2019s decision of asking him to step aside because he was becoming a distraction in the government.
\nAccording to him, his name became something that was slowing down all the good things the Mills administration did.
\nSpeaking on Asempa FM on Monday, Carl Wilson noted that \u201cI remember when we were able to pay the TOR debt, the major news that came the next morning was Carl Wilson and people demonstrating\u201d. \u201cWe cannot have one person\u2019s name becoming a distraction of government’s business. \nHe added even though he was doing a good job, President Mills took the best decision for Ghana at the time by asking him to step aside.
\nHe noted that President Mills has the political will in fighting corruption in the country especially at the port.
