The Volta Region\u2019s finest Ewe gospel musicians are to be awarded on Friday, December 2, at the Ho Polytechnic Auditorium.<\/p>\n

Five nominees have been shortlisted out of 55 entries for five categories for the award ceremony, Mr Victor Kwawukume, Communications Director of Kafli Events Consult, organizers of the event told the GNA on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The event is in collaboration with Professor Komla Amoaku\u2019s Institute of Music and Development. Mr Kwawukume said three honourary awards would also be given out to individuals who have helped in the development of music in the Region. \u201cAll is set for the great event\u2026, the first ever award scheme to reward musicians in the Region. \u201cThe event is now the talk of town and we are amazed by the number of entries,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Mr Kwawukume said the event was to promote Ewe gospel music, discover talents and offer \u201cgreat entertainment experience\u201d to fans of gospel music. Listed to perform on the gospel extravaganza is Makafui Abitor, Queen of Gospel Music in the Republic of Togo.
Mr Kwawukume said the President of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) President, Mr Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kufuor is among dignitaries who would grace the night.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
