Nana Kwadwo Abrefa Nketia VII known in private life as Kwadwo Nyame Nketia, Omanhene of Wenchi Traditional Council has bemoaned the unpatriotic attitude of footballers in Ghana, who cannot sing the Ghana National Anthem.
\nThe Wenchi Manhene noted that he coached teams like; B\/A United, Swedru All blacks among other clubs and it troubles him a lot when some of the footballers mix the words when it is time.
\nHe said when the foreign countries are singing their National Anthem, \u201cyou can see and hear the words clearly, it is perfectly sang, especially the England anthem, \u2018God bless the queen\u2019, it\u2019s so nice like ours but because they (players) cannot sing it nicely it makes it something different\u201d.
\nNana Nketia VII is pleading with the GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi and the executive committee members to device a strategy to teach the players how to sing the nation\u2019s anthem \u201cso that when it is time for especially the Black Stars to play and when the anthem is being played, it will bring happiness and encouragement to all of us\u201d.
