A Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Alhaji Saeed Sinare is one of several persons stranded in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
\nThe stranded politician is the son of an Egyptian woman with whom he travelled to Cairo where they have been stranded for the past one week as Egyptians demand the exit of President Hosni Mubarak who has ruled the country for the past thirty years or so.
\nAlhaji Sinare has complained about the unsafe streets of Cairo coupled with grounded flights in the Egyptian capital making it impossible for passengers to depart after arriving in the country.
\nHe flew to Cairo from Dubai where he attended a health forum in the United Arab Emirate capital.
\nDeputy Minister of Information Samuel Ablakwa Okudzeto has ruled out evacuation plans of Ghanaians since such persons are not under any threat even as the government is monitoring developments closely, he added.
\nYesterday, Cairo\u2019s Tahrir Square saw the largest turnout of protesters since Egyptians demonstrated against their President.
\nOver a 100,000 demonstrators turned up at the square to support the call for the 1,000,000 man-march to increase the pressure on Hosni Mubarak.
\nSoldiers who were visible on the streets of Cairo where the protesters had assembled and appeared ready to continue their demand, pleaded with their compatriots to be orderly since pictures of the event were being beamed around the world.
