Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan says he is surprised by the pace of negotiations that landed him deal with German side Schalke.
\nThe enforcer joined Schalke from Norwegian side Rosenborg following quick negotiations on Friday.
\nGHANAsoccernet broke the news on Friday that he had warned Rosenborg that he will quit the club after they turned down an offer from Sevilla. Few hours later he was whisked away to Germany where he underwent a medical before sealing the dealing.
\nAnnan admits he was surprised by how fast the deal was agreed. \u201cIt all went very fast, but I am very happy to be playing in such a big league now,\u201d said the 24-year-old midfielder, for whom a \u20ac2.5m fee has been agreed.
\n\u201cSchalke have made me feel very welcome.\u201d The player spent just over two seasons at Rosenborg, the Norwegian champions \u2013 making six UEFA Europa League appearances this term. Previously he had spells with IK Start and Stab\u00e6k Fotball.
