Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has vowed to power Sunderland to qualify for Europe this season after joining the English side.
\nMuntari moved from Inter Milan to join Sunderland on Saturday on loan until the end of the season. The moves ensures that there are three Ghanaians at the English side with Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah already at the club.
\nHaving played for Portsmouth before moving to Inter Milan, Muntari is delighted to be back in the English Premier League. He told the club\u2019s official website: \u201cI love the pace, and passion the fans have across the nation.
\n\u201cThe people are passionate about the game and that makes it exciting. You see young kids at the stadiums watching the game. \u201cThe English game makes me relaxed and happy so I can bring my skills out.
\n\u201cI will just try to do my best to help Sunderland go further because they are doing well. I hope I can help the club go to Europe.\u201d Muntari spoke to Ghana team-mates John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan before committing himself to the club, but was delighted with what he found when he arrived on Wearside.
\nHe said: \u201cIt feels great to be at Sunderland and to be back in English football. \u201cI\u2019m very happy and from what I have seen here, it\u2019s going to be great.
\n\u201cI spoke to the head coach first and also Asamoah and John \u2013 they told me everything about the club.
\n\u201cIt is not strange to me. Everything here is amazing. The facilities and atmosphere are excellent. I\u2019m very pleased to be here.
