A Folk-lift operator at the Akim Oda Coppon Sawmills has been sentenced to a fine of GH\u00a2300 by a Magistrate Court at Akim Oda. Bright Ahenkorah sneaked into a carpentry shop and made away with two stuffing chairs valued at GH\u00a2300, property of Mr Emmanuel Agyepong, a carpenter.
\nHe pleaded guilty on both counts of unlawful entry and stealing. He would serve an 18-month prison term in default of payment. Chief Inspector Wilberforce Kwaku Appiah told the court presided over by Mr Albert Owusu Annor that Mr Agyepong travelled on January 13, this year but he left the shop where he also sleeps to nobody\u2019s care.
\nInspector Appiah said when Mr Agyepong returned from Akim Asuboa, he detected that his shop had been forced opened and that two stuffing chairs had been stolen.According to Inspector Appiah, a witness in the case told Mr Agyepong that on January 14 the following day at about 0300 hours, he spotted Ahenkorah with the chairs by the road side and when he questioned him, he could not provide a tangibly explanation.
\nHe said the witness then called a patrol team, who arrested Ahenkorah and the police station Mr Agyepong later identified the chairs as those stolen from his shop.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
