{"id":274638,"date":"2011-01-21T23:56:31","date_gmt":"2011-01-21T23:56:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/?p=48905"},"modified":"2011-01-21T23:56:31","modified_gmt":"2011-01-21T23:56:31","slug":"unashamed-hits-the-gospel-scene-with-nyame-kese-ye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/01\/21\/unashamed-hits-the-gospel-scene-with-nyame-kese-ye\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Unashamed\u2019 Hits The Gospel Scene With &#8216;Nyame Kese Ye&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><figure id=\"attachment_48906\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-48906\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-48906\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/01\/21\/%e2%80%98unashamed%e2%80%99-hits-the-gospel-scene-with-nyame-kese-ye\/unashamed\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48906\" title=\"Unashamed\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Unashamed.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-48906\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Unashamed<\/figcaption><\/figure><br \/>\nIt may seem as though the gospel  music industry is saturated with loads of songs and emerging artistes,  some of whom sometimes go unnoticed but interestingly there is always a  place for those with very quality, well organized and spirit filled  music and lyrics.<br \/>\nUnashamed is the latest group to emerge on the Ghanaian Gospel music scene.<br \/>\nNyame, Kese Ye, the title of the 9 track album is set to thrill gospel music lovers when it is released in the next few days.<br \/>\nUnashamed  is a group formed by Mrs. Patience Abor, who also doubles as the lead  singer and composer of most of the songs on the album.<br \/>\nPatience  is currently a lecturer at the Dept. of Public Administration and Health  Services Management at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.<br \/>\nShe  holds an MTech in Environmental Health from the Cape Penninsula  University in South Africa, and an MPhil in Health Services Management  from the University of Ghana Business School.<br \/>\nShe is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Southampton in the UK.<br \/>\nAccording  to Patience Abor, the name Unashamed was inspired by Apostle Paul\u2019s  declaration in the book of Romans 1:16 \u201cFor I am not ashamed of the  gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone  that believeth\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cI believe my life is a testimony to the fact  that God can take the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.  My family background and experiences in life gave little or no  indication that I could get to my current status in life. So what I am  saying is that in spite of my current status as an academician and all, I  am unashamed to declare his word through music.\u201d She said.<br \/>\nAlso  featured on the album is Angelina Sosu Nyieku, popularly known as Angie.  Angie is a fashion designer. A natural song writer and a singer, Angie  says her gift of designing quality clothes is one way through which she  worships the father.<br \/>\nThe album titled NYAME KESE YE(GREATNESS OF  GOD), according to Pat Abor is a celebration of the omnipotence and  supremacy of God.<br \/>\nIt opens with Yesu Do, which, according to the  duo, is meant to appreciate Jesus for His love bestowed upon them and  their families.<br \/>\nOther tracks on the album include MEDA WO ASE  (Thank You), PRAISE JEHOVAH, DINPA, KOSI OBA BIRE\/OBIARA NNI WO NSE,  MENSURO, WOGYEDIE NTI, among others.<br \/>\nThe album is blessed with a variety of Ghanaian and other feet moving African rhythms and style.<br \/>\n\u201cNyame  Kese Ye is sizzling hot and ready to hit the market soon. The songs  were born out of prayer and I believe it will certainly have a  transforming impact in the life of anybody who would have the  opportunity to listen.\u201d Pat Abor told this reporter.<br \/>\nShe also  hinted that the group is opened to all who feel unashamed to declare the  goodness of God on their lives and families through music, theatre and  arts.<br \/>\n\u201cUnashamed has a much bigger mission than music.
