{"id":274317,"date":"2011-01-17T12:15:16","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T12:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/?p=48158"},"modified":"2011-01-17T12:15:16","modified_gmt":"2011-01-17T12:15:16","slug":"bank-thiefs-woes-deepen-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/01\/17\/bank-thiefs-woes-deepen-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank Thief\u2019s Woes Deepen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><strong>After being fined GH\u00a2480 for stealing a laptop belonging to  Amalgamated Bank, 19-year-old Nathaniel Osman has been identified by  another company for stealing their laptop.<\/strong><\/strong><br \/>\nSuspect Nathaniel Osman was said to have gone to Evolution  International, an advertising company on November 17, 2010, and stole  the company\u2019s laptop.<br \/>\nThe suspect went to the advertising company under the pretext of seeking employment.<br \/>\nThe Finance and Administrative Director of Evolution International,  Bernard Osei Tutu, who lodged a complaint of theft against Osman for  stealing the company\u2019s laptop, noted that the suspect went to the  company on November 12, 2010 to look for a job as a cleaner.<br \/>\nHe said Osman was scheduled to come for an interview on November 17, 2010, which he did.<br \/>\n\u201cHe got to the office around 6am and requested that they show him the washroom.\u201d<br \/>\nWhile the cleaners were busily working, Osman went to the first floor, dashed into one of the rooms and bolted with a laptop.<br \/>\nOsei Tutu maintained that when the workers realized that one of the laptops was missing, the suspect was nowhere to be found.<br \/>\n\u201cWe then read in the <strong><em>DAILY GUIDE<\/em><\/strong> newspaper that he had been arrested for the same offence and had come to identify him,\u201d he added.<br \/>\nSupporting his claim by producing their visitors\u2019 notebook, which  indicated the date and time of suspect Osman\u2019s visit, Osei Tutu noted  that the suspect was wearing a black suit and trousers and had a bag in  his possession when he went to look for the job at the company.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, an Accra magistrate court has awarded a fine of GH\u00a2480 against Osman.<br \/>\nIn default, he would serve three months in prison in hard labour.<br \/>\nNathaniel Osman, a self-styled businessman residing at Dansoman, was  alleged to have been invited for an interview by the Amalgamated Bank  around 7am, but he ended up stealing a brand new Toshiba laptop  belonging to the bank.<br \/>\nHe was then spotted and handed over to the police.<br \/>\nSuperintendent Cephas Koffie, District Commander of Adabraka, has  therefore called on corporate institutions that might have fallen victim  to Osman\u2019s antics to report to the station.<br \/>\nHe also cautioned institutions to be weary of persons they invited  for interviews, and others who stormed their institutions to transact  business.<br \/>\n<strong><em>By Linda Tenyah<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After being fined GH\u00a2480 for stealing a laptop belonging to Amalgamated Bank, 19-year-old Nathaniel Osman has been identified by another company for stealing their laptop.
