Members of the Old Guards Association of National Democratic Congress (NDC) have called on all Ghanaians to line up behind President John Atta Mills in the implementation of the \u201cBetter Ghana\u201d agenda.
\nhey said a better Ghana could be achieved in a vacuum and that all the people would have to accept to work hard and make the necessary sacrifices. In a statement signed by Oheneba Asamoah Atuahene, the National President, and issued in Kumasi, they said policies of national interest must be placed above politics. \u201cPaying realistic prices for what we consume, paying our taxes, obeying the laws of the land must be realistically addressed by every Ghanaian.\u201d
\nThe statement commended President Mills on his achievement as the fourth best President in Africa and said his conduct since assumption of office had been characterized by humility, objectivity and downright forthrightness, which has won him the respect of his peers. \u201cPresident Mills has clearly shown his commitment to social justice, national peace and democracy.\u201d
