\nTell us a little about your childhood, growing up, parents, brothers and \tsisters? <\/strong>
\nBorn into a catholic home, I attended a catholic primary and secondary \tschools. My father was a staff of Kingsway stores. I am the second of 2 boys \tand 2 girls.
\nWhat was the first paying job ever that you had? <\/strong>
\nAn operations assistance at NTA Benin (camera\/audio manager)
\nWhat other jobs did you do outside Acting? <\/strong>
\nSelling insurance policies with Crusader Insurance in the early 1980\u2032s.
\nWhat made you go into the Acting career and when did you start Acting \t(year)? <\/strong>
\nThe flair for acting [an inmate conviction that I could act] started in \t1984.
\nWho were your Idols\/Models (Actors) in those days? <\/strong>
\nOgunmola, Duro Ladipo, Pram And Prem Chopra[Indian] and Bruce Lee.
\nWhat was your first role in Theatre, TV or Movies?<\/strong>
\nTV \u2013 The Return Of The Natives\u2019<\/strong>, as Mr Davis.
\nTheatre \u2013 Awero<\/strong>, as Pa Jimoh.
\nMovies \u2013 Mission To Serve<\/strong>, as Mr President.
\nWhat was your major break-through role and in what film, series or play?<\/strong>
\nTV Series- \u2018Ripples\u2019<\/strong> as Talab Abbas<\/strong>.
\nWhat were the constraints you had to face and overcome as an \tup-and-coming Actor (young actor)?<\/strong>
\nHow many films have you been involved with as an Actor to date?<\/strong>
\nInnumerable; I have starred in Silent Night, Sanctuary, Captive, Innocent \tTears, Fugitives<\/strong>, to mention a few.
\nAs a DYNAMIC, OUTSTANDING, \u2018A\u2019-List Actor, how have you managed to adapt \tto the different range of roles you have played in your career?<\/strong>
\nUnderstanding the stories and the characters play.
\nWhat is the most awkward or strangest role you have had to take\/play in \tyour career and why?<\/strong>
\nNone.
\nWhat film have you been most proud to be involved with so far, and why?<\/strong>
\nRipples \u2013 Talab Abbas<\/strong>. It was just a great ride.
\nDid you at anytime want to quit your Acting career for something else or \tfor any reason, and why (if any)?<\/strong>
\nI Never really thought quitting even when the remuneration was poor.
\nWhat is the motivation for you or what keeps you interested in this \tcareer every morning you wake up?<\/strong>
\nThe love of acting and the desire to make people happy and the fact that \tthey appreciate what I am doing is my motivation.
\nHow important are our Nigerian roots, morals, values, knowledge and sense \tof wisdom to you and your works?<\/strong>
\nVery very important except I detest the value system which is [at all cost] \tor [by any means].
\nOn the stories, scripts, or screen play of your films, and its impact on \tthe Nigerian\/African cultural values (home and abroad), how do you manage to \tharness, keep and pass them across in your films? <\/strong>
\nNo man has monopoly of knowledge I carryout personal research in those \tareas.
\nWhat projects are you working on at the moment and with whom?<\/strong>
\nA soap opera titled \u2018Traces\u2019<\/strong>. I expect it to be a lot better than \tRipples.
\nWhere do you see yourself in this career in the next five years?<\/strong>
\nEye\u2019s have not seen ear\u2019s have not heard\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013
\nWhere do you see the Nigerian movies industry \tin the next couple of years? <\/strong>
\nIn the forefront of movie making.
\nWhen you are not working (Acting, producing, directing or making a film), \twhat do you do or how do you pass the time?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019m either in church or with my family. I also enjoy music and reading.
\nWhat kind of music do you listen to and who is your favourite musician?<\/strong>
\nFor now I love R. Kelly\u2019s<\/strong> MUSIC.
\nIs there an International Actor (American, British, Australian, African, \tetc.) you will want to work with if the opportunity presented itself?<\/strong>
\nWith any good actor.
\nWhat message do you have for your international fans in America, United \tkingdom, Europe, Africa and its Diaspora?<\/strong>
\nThe best of Alex<\/strong> Usifo<\/strong> is yet to come. I love them all above all god loves them.
