{"id":273414,"date":"2011-01-11T11:45:23","date_gmt":"2011-01-11T11:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/?p=46128"},"modified":"2011-01-11T11:45:23","modified_gmt":"2011-01-11T11:45:23","slug":"president-mills-was-only-sincere-about-his-health-98-of-what-mills-said-were-lies-sir-john","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/01\/11\/president-mills-was-only-sincere-about-his-health-98-of-what-mills-said-were-lies-sir-john\/","title":{"rendered":"President Mills Was Only Sincere About His Health&#8230;98% Of What Mills Said Were Lies &#8211; Sir John"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Evans Atta Mills\u2019  meeting with the media for the second time in his first term of office  may have ended,  but Ghanaians surely have not seen the last of it,  particularly the assessment of his administration, his expression and  demeanor at the press interaction.<br \/>\nGeneral Secretary of the  opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly  known as Sir John in his evaluation says about 98% of what President  said at the \u201c<strong>Action Year<\/strong>\u201d Editors Forum were a complete pack of lies, hence his decision not to personally award himself any marks.<br \/>\nTo  him, most of the answers President Mills gave at the media encounter  should be taken with a pinch of salt, adding that the President failed  to show any sign of sincerity in responses. He believes that the only  question President Mills answered sincerely was about his state of  health.<br \/>\nHe added that he was impressed with the answer President  Mills gave concerning marking or grading himself. According to him,  President Mills could not have possibly marked himself because there was  nothing there to be marked on his two years in power.<br \/>\n\u201cWith  everything he said, about 98 percent was untrue and most of the  questions were not answered well so I am not surprised he said he could  no longer mark himself because if he marks himself, things will not go  well besides, he has nothing to mark about himself,\u201d he noted.<br \/>\nSpeaking in an interview on <strong>Peace FM\u2019s Kokrokoo<\/strong> Morning Show, the NPP Chief Scribe felt that President Mills was not  precise with most of the answers he gave and at certain times simply  \u2018dodged\u2019 the question.<br \/>\nObviously not impressed, Sir John was  particularly unhappy with the response given by President Mills when  asked to lend credence to or deny grapevine reports that his government  intends going after the Chief Justice, Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood.<br \/>\nAccording to him, it was disappointing for the President to make light of serious concerns raised by journalists.<br \/>\n\u201cPresident  Mills swerved all the questions he was asked and simply kidded with  some of the issues. Instead of going straight to the point in giving  answers to specific questions, he just beat about the bush, mostly.
