The awards gave an edge over her  contemporaries in the  industry.\u00a0 In this encounter, Chelsea sets an  agenda for herself, as she  declares \u201c I\u2019m undergoing a process of  discovering myself.\u2019<br \/>\nMeet Chelsea in her element . . .<br \/>\nYou won three awards last year, how\u00a0 were able to achieve this feast within the short period you spent in the industry?<br \/>\nI  started out as a model before veering into acting. Then I was an   undergraduate of English Language\u00a0 at the University of Maiduguri. My   new\u00a0 found fame jolted my parents who insisted I complete my education   first before going into modeling.<br \/>\nI was chosen as a Visa phone model during the company\u2019s launch campaign in Benin some years ago.<br \/>\nI also did a couple of calendars jobs for some corporate bodies.<br \/>\nWhile  growing up, I was always inspired by visually stimulating  events. I  remembered always getting engrossed in movies and cartoons\u00a0  as a child.  And as I got older, my fascination for the arts developed.<br \/>\nMy  passion for the arts pushed me to obtain a degree in English  Language.  And shortly after graduation, I went straight to the movie  industry. And  within a short time, I landed a role that had me rubbing  shoulders with  two of the finest actors f my generation, Genevieve  Nnaji and Majid  Michel.<br \/>\nWhy did you abandon modeling for acting?<br \/>\nI  have always been passionate about the art. And while in school, I  was  coming to Lagos\u00a0 for auditions. Initially, I was involved in a   production by Emem Isong\u00a0 between 1997 and 1998, but because of my   hunger for education,\u00a0 I could not be part of that production.<br \/>\nBut  in 2009, I got a phone call from a female producer, Vivian  Ejike, who  invited me, to be part of the cast of her \u2018Silent Scandal\u201d  movie. She  claimed she got my phone number from Emem Isong . After the  audition,  the rest is history.<br \/>\n\u201cSilent Scandals\u201d was the movie that  exposed me. My role in the  movie required a lot of depth, intellect and  self-confidence. The role I  played was also very challenging and today  it changed my whole  perception about life.\u00a0 Still, it continues to drive  me every day to  become better at my craft.<br \/>\nAs a new product, I need to be careful so as to maintain the standard I have set for myself.<br \/>\nAfter \u201cSilent Scandals,\u201d what other movies have you done recently?<br \/>\nI have done two more movies, and they are yet to be released into the market.<br \/>\nYou spent a greater part of your life, living in the north?<br \/>\nYes,  I grew up there, living with my parents.\u00a0 Hausas are very nice  people.  Born in the north, I have never known any other culture apart  from that  of\u00a0 the Hausas.<br \/>\nThough my parents hail from Umuahia in Abia  State, I\u2019m more at home  with the\u00a0 Hausas. If I\u2019m opportune to return to  the North by way of  marriage, well, I will not hesitate to do so.<br \/>\nWhat\u2019s your driving force?<br \/>\nHard work, and consistency. I\u2019m inspired by those before me. Genevieve is my role model.<br \/>\nHer success is driven by hard work and that\u2019s\u00a0 the kind of impact I want to make in the industry.<br \/>\nOnce  one is passionate about what you do, the sky will be your  limit. I know  where I want to be. Because I\u2019m focused and determined,  I\u2019m sure to  make my mark in the industry.<br \/>\nWho is your kind of man?<br \/>\nThe man who must be intellectually sound and honest. I can\u2019t stand dishonest people.\u00a0 They have no place in my heart.<br \/>\nIs that kind of\u00a0 man already existing in your life?<br \/>\nI may have met him, or I may not have met him, But the most important thing is that he must be honest and intellectually sound.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t you think that you are ripe for marriage?<br \/>\nFor  now it is not part of my agenda. I\u2019m still discovering myself.  I\u2019m not  thinking of getting married at the\u00a0 moment. We grow every day  and as we  do so, we discover new things about ourselves. I\u2019m still  growing, and  I\u2019d have a desire to become a true professional.<br \/>\nAnd what part of the body would you consider as your greatest asset?<br \/>\nMy eyes are my assets.<br \/>\nAs a pretty lady I\u2019m sure you have broken so many men\u2019s heart . . .<br \/>\nI have not broken anybody\u2019s heart, and I\u2019m not thinking of doing in future.<br \/>\nSo, how many passes do you get in a day?<br \/>\nAs many as you can think of.
