\nA statement signed by Mr John Mensah Sarpong, President of NASGAMP, in Kumasi, thanked Mrs Mould-Iddrisu for the passage of a Legislative Instrument (LI) to allow for effective implementation of the Copyright Act, enacted in 2005.
\nIt noted that \u201cas an astute Copyright lawyer\u201d, the Minister demonstrated understanding of Copyright administration bringing a lot of improvement to the sector and relative peace in the music industry.
\nThe statement said the formation of the CMO to replace the current interim management committee was long overdue and it was the wish of all stakeholders that this was done with before she handed over to her successor.
\nThe CMO, it said, was dear to the hearts of all those in the music industry \u201csince it is the life wire of both musicians and producers and it cannot wait.\u201d
