\nYou can call Francis Duru many things, but you can\u2019t say \the\u2019s lazy. Lauded by awards and critics alike, Duru is determined to remain \tone of Nollywood\u2019s strongest personnel and when he\u2019s asked why he merged \t acting with stand up, event comparing, producing and directing, singing and \tsongwriting, he says:
\n\u201cI have always kicked against the notion of \u2018jack of all \ttrade and master of none\u2019 because as a born again Christian, the bible tells \tme that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and that means \tthat in each and every one of humanity, there\u2019s so much to give out and it \talso depends on how those given potentials are harnessed\u201d.
\nLooking at all of the things he has combined, Duru argues that they are all \trelated within the parlance of entertainment and that they naturally play \tthemselves out. \u201cWhen it comes to anchoring an event, it can be easy for me \tto combine all of what I have with stand-up, for instance, because of my \tbackground in theatre.
\nThen, as an actor, I am a full movie practitioner because I have also \tproduced and directed a movie even though my main forte in everything is \tacting\u201d. Largely, Duru thinks his kind of work doesn\u2019t really \u201cstick me\u201d to \ta particular pattern because it all depends on how much there is to \texpress\u201d.
