Blackpool coach Ian Holloway wary rival clubs may come calling for his Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Kingson in January. Kingson has been in outstanding form for the Seasiders since joining them on a free transfer at the start of the season.
\nHe was even named the best goalkeeper in the first half of the Premier League which has raised some eyebrows from rival clubs.
\nHolloway is expecting rival managers to try and get bargains from his entertaining squad in the transfer window.
\nKingson is among several Blackpool players who have won plenty of admirers in their maiden Premier League campaign and with it the stock of many of the squad has risen. \u201cI really can\u2019t tell you how it is going to go,\u201d Holloway said. \u201cI don\u2019t know if anyone is waiting in the wings to try and steal some of my players.
\n\u201cThey would be stealing them, because they could have bought them last year. But now they might want to. \u201cIf that happens \u2013 we\u2019ll have to wait and see. But we don\u2019t need any money or that sort of thing. \u201cWe can keep going, although football evolves and your squad evolves. I\u2019ll be looking to see what might be out there, to see what we can do in certain areas.
\n\u201cThis time last year I added some strikers and I thought that got us up. If you look at what we have got at the moment, then I might need to try to do that again if I can. \u201cBut I\u2019d rather keep who I\u2019ve got and work with them \u2013 we took long enough to get them in the summer. \u201cI\u2019ve just got to be careful that we don\u2019t weaken.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
