Six females and one male child were born at two hospitals on New-Year day in the Tamale Metropolis.
\nThe Tamale Central Hospital, (TCH) recorded three female births and one male birth in the early hours of the New Year.
\nAccording to Madam Lydia Azantia, Principal Midwifery Officer of the hospital, the male child was born at exactly 0427 hours.
\nAt the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), Madam Saratu Wemah said the hospital delivered only three female children on the New Year\u2019s Day, while at the Tamale West Hospital no births were recorded.
\nIn a related development, churches in the Metropolis held watch-night services to usher in the New Year, with thanksgiving to God for what he has done for the nation in 2010.
