\n\tTolu Durosimi-Etti has emerged the first player to win the Lagos Table Tennis League back-to-back in the women\u2019s event after beating Funke Hassan in Week Four of the championship held at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Complex, Rowe Park in Yaba.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\tFormer champions Aminat Fashola and Funke Hassan failed to retain their titles after winning Week One and Two but the highly-experienced Durosimi-Etti set a new competition record\u00a0 when she overcame Hassan 11-5, 11-3, 5-11, 11-5 in the Week Four final of the competition. She had also claimed the title in Week Three after beating Fatimo Bello 3-2.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\tBello has had a miserable time in the competition despite her high work rate. The player has played in three finals but failed to win any.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, the men\u2019s event has been at its competitive best as new champions continued to emerge on a weekly basis. The latest champion is Kazeem Makanjuola, who defeated Ayo Omotara in the Week Four final. Makanjuola overcame Omotara 11-9, 11-8, 11-8 to claim the title for the first time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
