Bauchi\u2014Bauchi State Governor, Malam\u00a0 Isa Yuguda, has lamented the delay in the completion of the state Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, secretariat by the contractors handling the project.<\/p>\n

Yuguda, who said this at Government House, during an interactive session with newsmen, Tuesday, added that the completion of the contract was behind schedule.<\/p>\n

He noted that the contractor was paid huge money as mobilisation fee\u00a0 before commencing construction, only to abandon the job half way.<\/p>\n

The governor directed the contractor to go back to site and ensure its completion or face prosecution.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, NUJ National President, Alhaji Muhammad Garba, has commended Yuguda for\u00a0ordering the completion of the secretariat.<\/p>\n

Garba made the commendation while supervising the secretariat, yesterday, noting that the project had direct bearing in development of the state and the journalism profession in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

He however,\u00a0 assured that the Governor will keep to his promise by making sure that the project would soon be completed and\u00a0 put to use by journalists in the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
