‘All your congratulations tweets are getting me VERY excited. Thanks guys, so glad you can all make it to the wedding…’

Former IT Crowd star O’Dowd added: ‘I’m so bored of all this happiness and sex. I’m getting married. #engaged.

‘Aw, thanks for all the congrats guys. Feelin’ the twitter love today. Very happy & lucky boy.’

The couple, who live together in South London, started dating after meeting at Porter’s 30th birthday party in January 2009.

Recalling their first meeting, O’Dowd once said: ‘She was dancing on her own in a leather dress. That kind of did it for me.’

Since playing lovable traffic officer Nathan Rhodes in hit comedy Bridesmaids this year, O’Dowd’s burgeoning film career has gone from strength to strength.

"He

He put a ring on it: Porter shows off her engagement ring in her new Twitter profile photo

He reunited with Bridesmaid co-stars

Kids – due out in the new year – and is also starring in upcoming film

Sean Carlin Goes Crazy.

He’s also writing a new U.S. TV comedy called Big Men.

O’Dowd has been nominated for the Rising Star category at the Bafta Film Awards in February.

Meanwhile,

Porter has presented a variety of TV shows for Channel 4 and BBC and

also has her own production company Hot Patootie TV.
