{"id":24120,"date":"2011-12-30T11:19:29","date_gmt":"2011-12-30T11:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/12\/lumba-causes-traffic-in-kumasi\/"},"modified":"2011-12-30T11:19:29","modified_gmt":"2011-12-30T11:19:29","slug":"lumba-causes-traffic-in-kumasi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/12\/30\/lumba-causes-traffic-in-kumasi\/","title":{"rendered":"Lumba Causes Traffic In Kumasi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/a98cdaddy_lumba.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35650\" title=\"daddy_lumba\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/a98cdaddy_lumba.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"284\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Daddy Lumba<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>THERE WAS massive vehicular traffic in Kumasi last Friday, December 24, 2011 due to ace highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu ka Daddy Lumba\u2019s show at the Miklin Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Virtually all roads in the Garden City, notably those that link to Miklin Hotel at Denyame, were jammed with cars.<\/p>\n<p>Music lovers from all corners of Kumasi and beyond drove from their homes to see their idol Daddy Lumba perform live.<\/p>\n<p>This resulted in heavy vehicular and human traffic in the city from the afternoon till late in the night.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the people that spoke with <strong><em>BEATWAVES<\/em><\/strong> said their cars had been in traffic for more than three hours, in a journey which ideally should have taken them 20 minutes to cover.<\/p>\n<p>At the main entrance of the event venue, police personnel detailed to provide security and maintain order were seen having a difficult time containing the excited crowd.<\/p>\n<p>During the show, Daddy Lumba displayed why he is considered one of the best in the country by producing a superb show.<\/p>\n<p>The ace musician sent the attendants of the show, especially the ladies, into a frenzy with his scintillating voice and stage performance.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, those that spoke with <strong><em>BEATWAVES<\/em><\/strong> said they were pleased with Lumba\u2019s performance and that they wished he would perform in the city again very soon.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>FROM I.F.
